The Chroma Network is a Black-Woman owned and operated platform inspiring women to develop from the inside-out in the areas of career, mindset, and style through a host of accessible online resources.

This is about bridging the gap.

There are so many times that we are told, “it’s not about what you know, it’s about who you know”. Times where we have the knowledge and potential but aren’t readily provided with the tools or tangible steps to successfully get a foot in the door and advance to the next stage.

There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding what it means to be a “career woman” in the modern day. Many of us have built up an image of success that requires us to be one-dimensional, lose sight of our passions; we’d like to debunk this myth.

Here at The Chroma Network, we believe you can be both fabulous and successful. You can lead a fabulous and elegant life and still accomplish your goals! It’s all a matter of curation and choice. From your self-esteem to the way you put your outfit and makeup look together, our inner and outer worlds are constantly affecting one another. By affording ourselves the best of the best, we can only expect a positive return.

Hey there, I’m Daneshé [duh NEE shay] I’m a 23-year-old marketer and multimedia content creator, born and raised in New York City. I studied marketing at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania where I graduated in spring 2020 (woop woop!).

I created this platform as a holistic view of personal development for young women. I am extremely passionate about the idea that an interplay exists between our inner confidence and our outer worlds. The way you curate everything from your living space and outfits down to the books you read and content you consume online (educational or not) will ultimately shape how you show up in the world and your ability to perform in your career of choice. So why not expose ourselves to the best we possibly can?

My passion for professional development was sparked at a young age. After transitioning from New York City’s public school system into a selective prep school, I became acutely aware of the disparities between the two worlds. Access to one-on-one attention from teachers, small classroom sizes, and even top college admissions officers all became part of the norm. As I got older, joined scholarship programs, made leaps and bounds in my academic and professional career, and gained even more access to thought leaders across various industries, I realized that what I was experiencing was a privilege.

The knowledge I was receiving by being in these rooms was not widespread, but it should be.

I realized that it isn’t necessarily genius or excessive talent that allows you to get from point A to point B but rather the function of having specific hard and soft skill sets, interesting life experiences, and building strong professional connections.

My goal is to create a space on the internet to make the resources and knowledge that we need to confidently thrive in our personal lives and careers as young, diverse women as accessible as possible. Cheers to us!

  • I have a deep love for the world of luxury fashion and beauty. This passion came to its head on my first visit to Italy as part of a trip I went on for a retail course. I was able to learn about Italian culture, visit the headquarters of renowned luxury houses, and understand the craftsmanship that is Italian retail. When I’m not reading a book or listening to a podcast, I am surely watching a fashion show, online window shopping, or watching a fashion documentary.
  • 2019 was the year the travel bug finally bit me. I was able to hone my marketing skills at a tech internship in San Francisco, participate in a week-long pre-MBA program at Harvard Business School, and study abroad in Milan, Italy! (if you need to chat about favorite pasta dishes I am your GIRL)

Thanks again for reading! I am so excited to get to know you ladies more as we grow our Chroma Community!
