👀 Have you ever had the random urge to change your life? (maybe it's the Sagittarius in me ♐️)⁠

Maybe you want to start a business, or move to a new city, or get in shape. Maybe it's something simple like getting a new job, or asking for a raise.⁠

We've all been there—just sitting at our desks thinking about how much we want to make the change we know deep down would be good for us. ⁠
⁠
But then something happens: we stop ourselves from making that first step. We tell ourselves that we'll do it tomorrow… then tomorrow becomes today and then tomorrow again, and so on and so forth until we're stuck where we started. (Tell me I'm not alone here 😬)⁠
⁠
One of my favorite ways to bypass this feeling is to make a list of all the things I want/need to do. It's a simple trick that works like magic every time. It gets the gears going in my mind and helps me shift toward taking action.⁠

The truth is, we can only fail if we decide we do. If we accept and resonate with the finality of "failure." 🤷🏽‍♀️⁠

On the flip side, the more we open ourselves up to learning from our missteps and making a conscious effort to do better, the more likely it is that we'll succeed.⁠

So next time someone asks if you want to do something new or different, just say yes! ⁠

You might not be able to see how it'll work out right now, or how you'll get it done, but who knows where that could lead? Who knows who you'll meet along the way? Who knows how much better your life will be because of this one simple choice? ⁠

can give you value, and that's you!

As women, we can struggle to recognize our worth, let
alone express it. We’re taught to put others first and
be “nice girls,” but what if this comes at the expense
of our self-worth?

⚡️ De-personalize the criticism and look at it
objectively: When we’re being criticized, it can be
tempting to take it personally. We feel like the criticism
is about us as a person and that if we just change this
one thing, our lives will be perfect. But that’s not how
criticism works! The criticism is about the giver's
perspective of the situation, not you as an individual

⚡️ Listen to the criticism and find something to apply:
Criticism is a gift. It’s not something we want to hear,
but when it comes from someone who knows us well
enough to know what needs changing, it can be
invaluable. It’s also important to remember that often
times people are trying to help us by giving us
feedback—they aren’t necessarily attacking us
personally.

⚡️ Take a moment to consider your strengths before
reacting: When you feel like you’ve been criticized, it’s
essential to take a moment and think about the things
you do well. If you know your strengths and can think
of examples where they have helped you succeed in
life or work, it will be easier to brush off the negative
feedback.

⚡️ Remember that you are beautiful, confident, and
valuable. You can do anything you want!: There is
nothing wrong with you. Criticism is usually a way for
others to deal with their own problems. It is unlikely
that the person criticizing you has anything personal
against you, so try not to let their words affect your
self-confidence.
